Question - "What is the "5 Day Plan"?

Answer - It is a plan that could easily be adapted to all grade levels.  It is a system of incorporating into the daily rehearsal five disciplines believed necessary to develop and improve good choral musicianship.

These five disciplines are: Ear Training, Sight Singing, Vocal Techniques, Theory, and Keyboard Training.

I have learned that:

bulletMost students will accept 10 minutes of drill each day.
bulletThe plan is an excellent way to "sneak" this type of work into the regular rehearsal schedule.
bulletStudents soon realize a sense of musical accomplishment.
bulletThe program tends to add some academic structure to the choral program.
bulletIt is an excellent way to start the school year in an organized and structured manner.
